Word was received in town on Monday of the death of Mr. Jno Perkins in Cleveland. He had suffered a long illness. Mrs. Perkins was Miss Minnie Scarlett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wentworth Scarlett; they were formerly residents near Florence.

The death occurred on Tues. Aug. 24, in Oberlin, Ohio, of Mrs. Jessie Scott Scarlett, widow of the late Mr. Wentworth Scarlett who passed away a number of years ago. The deceased was 89 years of age. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Perkins (Minnie), Mrs. George Sedgerman (Bella), Leila, in Oberlin, Ohio and Lenore, a missionary in China, now home on furlough, also a number of grandchildren...
