Remains Are Laid At Rest - Funeral of Respected Wallaceburg Lady was Held Monday - Wallaceburg, Sept 8th: The funeral was held on Monday morning, of Mrs. Margaret Scarlett, wife of Charles Scarlett, who died suddenly at her home at Amherstburg on Friday last. The remains were conveyed to the home of her brother, James O'Brien, West Elizabeth Street, Wallaceburg, from which place the funeral was held. Requiem High Mass was sung at the Church of our Lady of Help by the Rev. Fr. J. Brennan, and interment took place in the Wallaceburg Cemetery. The pall bearers were: B. Mission, A. McKibbon, G. Whale, W. Nolan, R. Judson and Leo. Gilhuly. The deceased lady, who was 33 years of age, was the eldest daughter of George O'Brien, of Wallaceburg and was born at Concession 6, Sombra Twp. She married Charles Scarlett, who was formerly a barber in Wallaceburg. Besides her father, and husband she leaves to mourn 4 children: Noreen, Veronica, Janice and James B. She also leaves 1 brother, James, of Wallaceburg, and 1 sister, Mrs. Alban McCarron, of Amherstburg. Two children have predeceased her, 1 two years ago and the other at the time of deceased's death. Much sympathy is felt in this community for the family.

Miss May Bodkin and brother Clarence, attended the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Charles Scarlett, of Windsor. The funeral and burial services were conducted at Wallaceburg.
