     ADAMS. Mrs. Henry Klie comes of a distinguished family of the States. Her great-grandfather, Edward Adams, was a near relative of John Quincy Adams, President of the United States. Joshua Adams, son of Edward and grandfather of Mrs. Klie, was born in Maryland, and came to the County of Essex, unmarried, about 1798. Being a shoemaker by trade, he found plenty of work, and followed that calling all his life, dying aged seventy-three years. He married Elizabeth Quick, who died aged seventy-two years. Their children were: Mary (deceased), who married John Ulch, of Gosfield...
