Obituary, Tucson Citizen on Dec 28, 1999: DICKERSON, Frances E. Coursey, born in Ontario, Canada, March 7, 1936 died in Tucson, December 22, 1999 after a long bout with Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William of Tucson; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Michael Kiefer of Tucson; her sons, Daniel of Tucson, and David of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Victor Coursey of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; and her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Clarke Taylor of Harrow, Ontario, Canada. She had a career as a pediatric nurse caring for sick and premature babies beginning in 1957 at the University of Michigan Medical Center and ending in 1985 after 12 years at Tucson Medical Center. She also served at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, The University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City and the hospital in Vermillion, South Dakota. During her time at TMC she also served as an attending nurse in the medical transport program which flies sick babies in small aircraft, generally at night to the intensive care nursery at TMC from such places as Silver City, NM, Prescott, Yuma, and other places in the Arizona region. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 1999 at Christ Community Church, Kenyon and Pantano.
