Brush - Harold Hubbell (Harry), 69 years, entered into rest at Metropolitan Hospital on March 8, 1989. Husband of Vivian (Simpson) and loving father of Bradley, Vancouver, B.C. Predeceased by son Ronald (1951). His parents Angus and Georgeanna (Hubbell) Brush. Predeceased by brothers Charles, Carl, Ralph, Donald and Forest Brush and by sisters Faye Grovier, Ruby Tofflemire, Lyla Wilson, Mabel Harter, Edna Taylor Ross and Norma Brownlee. Surviving are sisters-in-law Elsa and Ora Brush, Colchester and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Brush served in WWII with the Searchlight Battery Cranberry Head, Nova Scotia and overseas with the First Hussars and later with the Fort Garry Horse Regiment as Gunner with the Tank Corp. He worked at L.A. Youngs and Chryslers until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the CAW Local 444, the Canadian Legion 578, The Golden Age Club of Most Precious Blood Church, The Golden Age Club of St. Theresa's Church. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Church where there will be Memorial Mass in his memory on Saturday, March 11 at 11 a.m. with Father Larry Burnet officiating. After the mass the family will receive friends and relatives at the Church Hall. Mr. Brush has donated his eyes so that someone may see and his body to the University Hospital, London, for medical research. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, Windsor Chapter, CAT Scan at Met. Hospital, The Heart & Stroke Fund or charity of your choice.
