Sudden Passing of Thos. L. McCormick - Mr. Thos. L. McCormick died suddenly about 1 o'clock today at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. B. W. Wigle, Albert street, with whom he had resided for over two years. ...
Mr. McCormick was born at Oxley, Colchester Township, and was married twice. Two daughters survive by his first wife, Mrs. B. W. Wigle, Leamington, and Mrs. W. C. Lord, 3rd Con., Mersea. By his second wife who predeceased him some years ago, one son survives, Mr. Guy McCormick, and one daughter, Mrs. Elmo Diffenbach, both of Pelee Island...

Earl McCormick's Body Found - The body of Earl McCormick, Pelee Island fisherman, who was drowned along with Captain Guy McCormick when their motor launch swamped in Lake Erie off Point Pelee, was recovered Monday afternoon by the steamer Frontenac, an oil tanker, and was brought to Amherstburg. The body, badly decomposed, was picked up between Colchester and the Middle Island Light.

The two disappeared after leaving Leamington on June 2 with a cargo of gasoline for Pelee Island. Wreckage of the boat was found in the lake as were drums of gasoline...
