Squire Kerby (1824-1888) was a son of Aaron Kerby. Squire married Susan Boyle (1829-1909) and was a Florence shoemaker. He was a member of the 2nd Regiment, Kent Militia in 1838. Squire and Susan, who were members of the Canada Methodist Church in Florence, had three children: Margaret, Samuel and Emeline(Emma).
Margaret Kerby (1852-1928) married William Henry Moorhouse in 1880 and they lived in Dawn Township. They had two daughters: Susan who married David White and Winnifred who married William Simpson.
