Obituary, Mount Ayr Recorder-News?, from Mike Carr:
"Arthalinda Cosner was born in Henry county, Illinois, December 11, 1854 and passed away October 4, 1936, aged 81 years, 10 months and 20 days. She was the youngest of a family of 10 children belonging to Henry and Anne Cosner. At the age of 13 she came with her parents to Union county Iowa, and on January 1, 1874 was united in marriage to Avery W. Cornwall. To this union were born seven children, three of whom died in infancy and Florence who passed away July 4th, 1935. Those surviving beside the husband and father are Earl of Des Moines, Harry and Arthur of Ellston. Also 19 grand-children and 12 great grand-children."
Another rendition says "13 great grandchildren, one brother of Lethbridge, Canada, and one sister, Celest Dolson, of Ellston."

Obituary, Mount Ayr Recorder-News, from Mike Carr:
"Avery W. Cornwall, eldest son of Elihu and Emaline Cornwall, was born near Mansfield, Ohio, November 1, 1852, and departed this life September 26, 1937, at the age of 84 years, ten months and 26 days... On January 1, 1874, he was united in marriage to Arthalinda Cosner, who preceded him in death October 4, 1936........" After his marriage he engaged in farming for a while and in October, 1882 the family moved to the town of Wirt (now Ellston) and opened a store and continued in various business enterprises for more than 50 years until failing health compelled him to retire..."
