- Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the residence of Mr. Ed. Jordan, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Jas. Merriam and Miss Elizabeth Cornwall, both of this city. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. H. Sowerby, after which the happy couple took their departure on the 4:40 G.T.R. train for Detroit and Toledo. After a trip extending over a couple of weeks, Mr. and Mrs. Merriam will return to Chatham and will take up their residence at the corner of James and Kent Sts.
