Fitzsimmons - Winnifred Cornwall Fitzsimmons, a native of Harrow, aged 78 years, died in Trenton, Michigan, Monday, May 15, 1978.

Fitzsimmons - Mrs. Winnifred Peterson Fitzsimmons of Riverview, Michigan, passed away at Seaway Hospital, Trenton, on May 15. She was born in 1900 in Harrow. She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Cornwall. Wife of the late Dr. Marcus Peterson of Nebraska, and the late John Fitzsimmons of Florida. She was the mother of Mrs. Janice Holcomb, William Peterson and Mrs. Marcia Woodley, all of Michigan. Surviving are 9 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. A sister of Arnold and Donald of Kingsville. Pre-deceased by brothers, Charles, Gordon and Clarence Cornwall; sisters, Ella and Hazel. Burial was in Adrian, Michigan.

Fitzsimmons - Winnifred Peterson Fitzsimmons was born in Harrow, Ontario, August 7, 1900 and died May 15, 1978 at Seaway Hospital, Trenton, Michigan.
In 1919 she married Dr. Marcus A. Peterson in Windsor. He died in 1957. Some years later she married John R. Fitzsimmons, who preceded her in death.
She was the daughter of John and Catherine Cornwall, formerly of Amherstburg, and one of her daughters, Marcia Peterson Woodley of Grosse Ile was born in Amherstburg in 1935. Two of her children, Janice Peterson and William Peterson attended school in Amherstburg in 1935-36.
Mrs. Fitzsimmons resided in Riverview, Michigan. She is also survived by two brothers, Arnold and Donald Cornwall of Kingsville. Also nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Charles Cornwall of Harrow. Gordon died in early childhood and Charles in France during the first world war.
The rosary was said Montenson Funeral Home, Trenton, and the funeral was at St. Timothy's in Trenton, Saturay, May 20. Interment was at Lenawee Hills Memorial in Tecumseh, Michigan.
