Births: McCormick - At Pelee Island, on Friday August 30 the wife of John Stair McCormick of a son.

John Allan McCormick, M, 29 July 1902, s/o John Starr McCormick, Farmer, Pelee Island, and Margaret Frame. Physician: H. A. Lounsbury. Registered 31 July 1902.

Obituary, Leamington Post, 30 March 1951:
Mrs. McCormick Pelee Island, Dies - A well-respected resident of Pelee Island, Mrs. Margaret McCormick, passed away March 11th in her 76th year. She arrived on Pelee the early part of the century, where she became an active worker in the Roman Catholic Church.
     Together with her husband, the late John Starr McCormick, she owned and operated the old Breeze Point Club, which was one of the oldest and most outstanding fishing clubs on the Great Lakes. They later sold their interests and built a recreation centre at Scudder. Later they moved to Leamington where they operated the Leamington Hotel for a period of one year, finally moving back to Pelee Island where they spent the rest of their lives.
     Surviving are one son Allan McCormick of Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. H. E. Williams (Catherine), of Scudder, and Mrs. William Barrett (Julia) of Tillsonburg. Two grandsons, Creighton Hamel, of Scudder, J. S. Hamel, in the Canadian Armed Services, also survive.
