Chatham Daily News, Tuesday 7 April 1959 - Obituaries:
Mrs. J. W. Daugherty. Thamesville (Special) - Mrs. Ella Agnes Daugherty, 88, of Thamesville, died Monday following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Camden Township and was the daughter of Edward Cragg and Mary Gibson.
Mrs. Daugherty was a member of the Thamesville United Church Women's Association; Women's Missionary Society and Order of the Eastern Star, Thamesville branch 216.
Her husband John Wesley Daugherty predeceased in 1958. Her first husband Walter Snary predeceased in 1927. Her daughter Irene predeceased in 1905 and her brothers and one sister all predeceased.
Surviving is one sister, Belle Thompson of Chatham and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the John Badder Funeral Home with Rev. R. D. Cameron of Thamesville United Church officiating. Rev. L. Bartlett will assist.
Special memorial services will be conducted by the Eastern Star tonight at 8 o'clock at the home.
Interment will be in the family plot in Mayhew Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
