Thamesville Times Herald, Thursday 18 September 1913
Wedding Bells - On Wednesday, September 10th, at 12 o'clock noon, the marriage of Miss Rosa Daugherty, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Daugherty, to Mr. Albert Hughson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hughson, was solemnized by Rev. Mr. Muxworthy. There were about 40 guests present.
The bridal arch was decorated with ferns and asters. The wedding march was played by Miss Estella Hughson, cousin of the groom. The bride entered the parlour on the arm of her father, and looked very pretty in a gown of white craquele embroidery net, trimmed with pearl and rhinestones. She carried a boquet of astors and wore the groom's gift, a gold watch and chain. The bridesmaid was Miss Estella Bloom, and was gowned in a pretty embroidery dress. The groom's gift was a gold brooch set with amethysets and pearls. To the best man, Mr. Earl Hughson, brother of the groom, a pair of gold cuff links. The gift to the pianist was a gold brooch set with an emerald and pearls.
After congratulations and the wedding dinner the bride and groom left on the 2:28 train for points east. The bride's going away suit was tan and grey whipcord with hat to match. The young couple were the recipients of many handsome gifts.
