Geddes - Scane: A quiet wedding took place at the United church parsonage, Dutton, on Saturday morning, September 26, when Miss Myrta Irene Scane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Scane, Howard township, was united in marriage to Gordon Bury Geddes, of Ridgetown. Rev. J. Jones officiated. The bride was attended by Mrs. R. H. Affleck, Dutton. Mr. John Coates was groomsman.

Obituary - Gordon B. Geddis. Ridgetown (Staff) - Gordon B. Geddis, 66, of Ebenezer Street, assistant manager of the East-Kent Memorial Arena, died Wednesday in Chatham Public General Hospital.
Besides his wife, the former Myrta Scane, is a daughter, Mrs. George (Joanne) Barclay of Ridgetown, brothers Clair and Glen, both of Ridgetown, and Bud of Windsor and sister, Mrs. Arthur (Hazel) Wooton of Highgate.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the McKellar Funeral Home, with Rev. D. S. Henry of Amherstburg officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
