Geddes - Scane: A quiet wedding took place at the United church parsonage, Dutton, on Saturday morning, September 26, when Miss Myrta Irene Scane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Scane, Howard township, was united in marriage to Gordon Bury Geddes, of Ridgetown. Rev. J. Jones officiated. The bride was attended by Mrs. R. H. Affleck, Dutton. Mr. John Coates was groomsman.

Geddis: At her home on Friday, October 24, 1980, in her 77th year, Myrta Irene (Scane) Geddis, Ebenezer Street, Ridgetown. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Bury Geddis. Dear mother of Joanne (Mrs. George Barclay) of Ridgetown; sister of Anna (Mrs. Archie Green) of Ridgetown, Joseph Scane of Pentwater, Michigan and the late Mrs. Olive Shaufler, Mrs. Harriet Campbell, John and William Scane. Two grandchildren also survive. Resting at the McKinley Funeral Home, Ridgetown, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday at one-thirty p.m. with Rev. Gary Oldridge of the Church of the Advent (Anglican), Ridgetown officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
