James M. Scane
Ridgetown - James M. Scane 87, of Jane Street, Ridgetown, died yesterday at the Chatham Public General Hospital.
Born in Howard township, Mr. Scane was the son of the late Joseph Scane and the former Harriet Spence.
He was a member of the Erie Street United Church.
Surviving are sons William of Ridgetown and Joseph of Detroit; daughters Mrs. Archie (Olive) Schaufler of Windsor, Mrs. Gordon (Myria) Geddis of Ridgetown, Mrs. Forest (Harriet) Campbell of Valetta, and Mrs Archie (Anna) Green of Howard Twp.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His wife, the former Harriet McDonald predeceased in 1958.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. from the McKellar and McDonald funeral Home in Ridgetown with Rev. G. E. Morrow officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
