...Ridgetown (Special) - Mrs. David L. Kennedy, clerk-treasurer of Ridgetown since 1957, the former Gladys C. McDonald died in the Public General Hospital, Chatham, yesterday after a brief illness.
She was born in Ridgetown in 1903, the daughter of the late Herbert McDonald, reeve of Ridgetown for several years, and the former Jemima Smith.
In 1923 she married David L. Kennedy of Main St. W., Ridgetown, and they lived in Windsor and Riverside until 1939...
Surviving are, her husband,children Owen Kennedy of Halifax and Mrs. Willis G. (Ruth) Shultz of Chalk River, and eight grandchildren.

David L. Kennedy - Funeral services will be held Wednesday for David L. Kennedy of Aylmer, 67, who died Sunday at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Toronto and later moved to Ridgetown where he lived for 20 years. While in Ridgetown he worked as a building contractor. He served in World War II and was an active member of March Street Baptist Church in Ridgetown.
Surviving are his wife the former Olive Clark, a son Owen of Nanaimo B.C., a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Ruth) Schultz of Chalk River, a brother Robert of Windsor, a sister Mrs. Pearl Jackson of Detroit, and 10 grandchildren. His first wife, Gladys McDonald predeceased in 1962.
Mr. Kennedy is at the Keddie Funeral Home in Aylmer until 4:30 today when he will be brought to the McKellar McDonald Funeral Home in Ridgetown. Rev. Fred M. Ward will officiate for the 2:30 p.m. service Wednesday with Rev. A. E. Fairbrother assisting.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
