William Reynolds writes:
James Ross Reynolds born 21 June 1907. On 28 September 1929, in Toronto,
Ont., he married Sadie Moore Brodie who was born 24 June 1910 in Glasgow,
Scotland. Jim was first employed in banking and then he became an assessor
for Darlington Township. Later he was the clerk of East Whitby Township,
then clerk of London Township, and finally, in 1959, city manager, for the
city of Belleville, Ont. The newspaper announcement about his appointment
read as follows:
Jim died 1 February 1976 at the Community Hospital, Clearwater, Florida. He had been a member of the Bridge Street United Church, Belleville, where he served as an Elder, and a member of Moira Lodge No. 11, A.F. and A.M. He was burried in Belleville Cemetery.
