Came to Biddulph Twp (Whelan) to teach school and there married George Coursey, a farmer of Biddulph, who farmed the 130 acres on Lots 38, Con. 3 and 4 acquired by his grandparents. She returned to teaching when she was widowed, and taught for as long as twenty years until retiring. She taught in schools in Matheson (north of Sudbury), Walkerton, Courtright, and Iona then built a house on the home place in Biddulph Twp. After becoming ill she moved in with her son Thomas and lived with him in Biddulph and Chesley, where she died after just a few years of Alzheimers disease.

William H. Perkin - Moorefield - William Henry Perkin, 86, of Moorefield died Sunday night after a lengthy illness.
Born near Bowmanville, he moved to Maryborough Township in 1892 and farmed until moving to Moorefield in 1931...
His wife, the former Laura Worden, whom he married at Bowmanville in 1890, predeceased him.
