Ross - O'Neal. An exceptionally pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, June 27th, at four o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren O'Neal, when their youngest daughter, Jennie Arabelle, was united in marriage to Russell John, second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ross, of Zone. Rev. T. T. George officiated. The ceremony was performed on the beautiful lawn under an arch of maple leaves, orange blossoms, and the Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes, suspended from which was a lovely wedding bell.
The bride, was was given in marriage by her father, was charmingly gowned in white satin and pearl trimmings with tulie veil caught with a bandeau of brilliants and orange blossoms. Her flowers were Killarney roses and lillies of the valley. The bridesmaid was Miss Daisy Everitt of Detroit, who wore a becoming gown of pink georgette crepe and leghorn hat with pink roses and ribbon. She carried Killarney roses and pink sweet peas. The little flower girl, Henrietta O'Neal, neice of the bride, looked very pretty in a white embroidered voile dress and the little nephew of the bride, Warren Colling, of Milwaukee, Wis., in a pretty white linen suit, was a little page, and they carried a pretty little basket containing sweet peas, and an Easter lily held the ring. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Stewart Ross, of Zone. Mrs. Joe O'Neil played Lohengrins' Wedding March. During the signing of the register, Miss Alba Ross, sister of the groom, sang "Blest be the Tie That Binds."
The supper was served on the lawn, under the maple trees, about seventy-five being present. Carnations, peonies and orange blossoms decorated the tables. Little girls were waitresses. The groom's gift to the bride was a beautiful pearl necklace, to the bridesmaid a pearl bar pin, to the groomsman a pearl tie pin, and to the flower girl and little page signet rings. The bride's mother was dressed in grey silk poplin with a bouquet of lavender sweet peas, and the groom's mother wore silk messaline, with a bouquet of carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross left at seven o'clock on a trip to Windsor, London and Niagara Falls. They will be at home to their friends after...
