Mr. Jas. Perkin started for his new home near Moorefield last week. His son Henry, with his new wife, takes possession of the farm. We regret losing such an industrius and obliging neighbour.

Obituary, Kitchener-Waterloo Record, 23 December 1952:
William H. Perkin - Moorefield - William Henry Perkin, 86, of Moorefield died Sunday night after a lengthy illness.
Born near Bowmanville, he moved to Maryborough Township in 1892 and farmed until moving to Moorefield in 1931. He was Maryborough tax collector for 17 years.
Mr. Perkin was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Perkin. He was a member of Moorefield United Church.
His wife, the former Laura Worden, whom he married at Bowmanville in 1890, predeceased him.
Surviving are three sons; Elmer, Fergus; Russell, Picton; Bert, Sault Ste. Marie; three daughters; Mrs. Russel (Nellie) Mills, Dobbington; Mrs. James (Hazel) Caldwell, Toronto; Mrs. Ivy Coursey, Courtwright.
There are three brothers, Arthur, Toronto; John, Palmerston; Leslie, Guelph; two sisters, Maude, Moorefield; Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Humphrey, Oakville, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A public funeral service will be held at Moorefield United Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. P. M. Smith, assisted by Rev. J. U. Stewart, officiating.
Burial will be in the Betheseda Cemetery. The body is resting at the residence.
