...Frank Myers, a resident of Lake Odessa and Woodland township all his eighty-two years, died at his home here of pneumonia Tuesday evening. Mr. Myers was born in Woodland township just south of Lake Odessa in 1855... Mr. Myers was the son of George and Marie Myers who came from New York state. On February 23, 1877, he was married to Miss Eleanor Dodds of Woodland, who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Mrs. Marie Barry of Carlton Center, Hugh Myers of Hastings, Mrs. Inez Gavit and Glenn Myers of Lake Odessa...

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR WILLIAM GAVIT TO BE HELD TODAY
William Gavit, 81, of Clearwater, Fla., a former Lake Odessa resident, who arrived last week to spend the summer at Jordan Lake, died at 9:45 PM Monday at Pennock Hospital, a short time after admittance following a stroke. He was born March 26, 1878, in Darke Co., OH, and spent most of his life in the Lake Odessa area before moving to Florida three years ago. He was a Spanish American War Veteran and a retired fur buyer. Surviving are his wife, the former Inez Myers, who he married in 1902; one son, Jesse, of Clearwater, Fla; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Davis, of Tampa, Fla; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held this Thursday at 1:30 in the Pickens Chapel in Lake Odessa with interment in Lakeside Cemetery.
