Brothers Serve in the Army - Cpl. Harold Higgins, Pte. Gerald Higgins
Two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Higgins of this city are serving with the Canadian Forces. Cpl. H. Higgins with the Ist Kent Regiment (active) now stationed at New Westminister, B.C. Pte. Gerald Higgins for the past 8 months has been in England with the R.C.O.C. attached to No. 28 Light Aid? Detachment of the 1st Canadian Survey Regt. (R.C.A.) Somewhere in England. Cpl. Higgins prior to enlisting was an employee of International Harvester Co. for five years and Pte. Higgins was an employee of Voming's? Bakery for three years.

Funerals - Harold Walter Higgins
A funeral service was conducted Saturday, January 19, 1985 in "The Chapel" of the Stephen-Alexander Funeral Home, Wellington Street West, Chatham for Harold Walter Higgins, 66?, a resident of 155 Water Street, Wallaceburg, who died at Wallaceburg Sydenham Hospital January 16.
Rev. Kent Clayton of Chatham Victoria Ave. United Church officiated, with Mrs. Arthur Lavery presiding at the organ.
Pallbearers were Wayne Hasson, Michael Higgins, James Hasson, James Higgins, Charles Higgins, Rick Parker and Daniel Bradley.
Burial was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
