Mrs. W. A. O'Neal received the sad news on Thursday last, of the death of her brother-in-law, Mr. Bert Hubbell, who died at his home in Detroit. Mrs. O'Neal attended the funeral.

Thamesville Herald, Thursday 20 February 1936
Obituary - Priscilla C. Willis. The death of Mrs. Warren O'Neal, which occurred at the family residence Thursday morning was a shock to the residents of the village. While it was generally known that she had been a sufferer from diabetes for the past four years, her sudden death was most unexpected. On the Tuesday afternoon previous she had been uptown shopping and appeared as bright and cheerful as usual. Her passing is deeply regretted and her husband (who has been ill for the past several weeks and unable to attend the funeral) and family have the sincere sympathy of the community.
The deceased was born at Indianapolis, Ind., where her parents were visiting relatives on July 1st, 1869. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Willis and Caroline Hubbell. On December 7th, 1887, she was married at Ridgetown to Warren A. O'Neal of Thamesville and they have resided here ever since. At the same time her brother, Almon Willis, and Emily Street were married and reside here.
Besides her husband she leaves three children and six grandchildren to mourn her loss, namely: Albert E. of Grosse Point Park, Mich.; Mrs. S. W. Awkerman (Beatrice E.), Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Russell J. Ross (Jessie Arabelle), Sarnia; Henrietta and Albert E. O'Neal, Jr., Warren Awkerman, and Clair, Aileen and Don Ross are grand children. Three brothers and two sisters of a family of ten survive, namely: George, Jessie and Mrs. Eliza Twigg of Detroit; Almon, of Thamesville; and Mrs. Rean Dowdy, of Wallaceburg.
She had been a faithful member of the Methodist (now the United) Church all her life and it was there the funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at one o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. C. Copeland. During the service Mr. Herb Minshall sang "In the Garden."
The floral tributes were many and very beautiful and testified to the love and esteem in which the deceased was held.
The pall-bearers were Messrs. Albert Campbell, Edward Miller, J. O. Hubbell, Robert Sankie, A. J. Ridley and William Best.
Flower bearers were Messrs. Jno. Daugherty, Albert Hughson, Wm. McKenzie, W. LaBelle, Chas. Hubbell, C. Simpkins and W. A. Mayhew.
Interment was made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
