...Frank Myers, a resident of Lake Odessa and Woodland township all his eighty-two years, died at his home here of pneumonia Tuesday evening. Mr. Myers was born in Woodland township just south of Lake Odessa in 1855... Mr. Myers was the son of George and Marie Myers who came from New York state. On February 23, 1877, he was married to Miss Eleanor Dodds of Woodland, who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Mrs. Marie Barry of Carlton Center, Hugh Myers of Hastings, Mrs. Inez Gavit and Glenn Myers of Lake Odessa...

GLENN MYERS PASSES AWAY MONDAY EVE, LEAVES WIDOW, TWO SONS, 3 DAUGHTERS, MOTHER, TWO SISTERS AND ONE BROTHER. FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON AT CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
Glenn Myers, operator of a recreation and lunch room on Main Street was taken to Ann Arbor for treatment last week Friday. He soon suffered a stroke and died last Monday night. The body was brought back Tuesday. Mr. Myers had been in poor health several months, in fact had not been very strong since an attack of lung trouble several weeks ago. He was born in Woodland Township, near Lake Odessa, and had lived in this community all his life. In 1910 he married Jennie Aungst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Aungst. She died at the birth of their son, Murray. August 19, 1911 [this year is not correct, should be 1913 or 1914] he married Mildred Fink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fink. Surviving are the widow, Mildred, two sons, Murray, and Ronald of Saginaw; three daughters, Doris of Lansing, Margaret of Western State Teachers College, and Marie at home, his mother, Mrs. Ella Myers of Lake Odessa, two sisters, Mrs. Inez Gavit of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Marie Barry of Carlton Center; one brother Hugh of Hastings, and two grandchildren. He was a loyal member of the local I.O.O.F. and a kind husband and father. He was 51 years of age. Funeral services from the Congregational Church today (Thursday), Rev. E.H. Humphrey will officiate and interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
