...Frank Myers, a resident of Lake Odessa and Woodland township all his eighty-two years, died at his home here of pneumonia Tuesday evening. Mr. Myers was born in Woodland township just south of Lake Odessa in 1855... Mr. Myers was the son of George and Marie Myers who came from New York state. On February 23, 1877, he was married to Miss Eleanor Dodds of Woodland, who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Mrs. Marie Barry of Carlton Center, Hugh Myers of Hastings, Mrs. Inez Gavit and Glenn Myers of Lake Odessa...

HUGH MYERS Funeral services for Hugh Myers, 71, who died at 9 a.m. Saturday at Pennock hospital where he had been for eight days were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Leonard Funeral Home. The Rev. Leason Sharpe officiated and burial was in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa. Mr. Myers had been a resident of Hastings for 45 years, coming from Lake Odessa in 1906. For over 40 years he was employed as a machinist at the E. W. Bliss company, retiring in 195l. In December of 1948 he was presented a watch from the company in honor of 40 years' service to the large industry. He was prominent in local I.O.O.F. circles and belonged to Hastings Lodge No. 58. He was a member of the Past Noble Grand lodge and a past treasurer of the lodge and also belonged to the Hiawatha Rebeckah Lodge No. 53. Mr. Myers was born Jan. 14, 1871, in Woodland township, the son of Frank and Ella (Dodds) Myers. He is survived by his wife, Minnie, at the family home at 312 E. Colfax; two sons, Ellsworth and Loren, both of Hastings; a daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Arloa) Kerr, of Hastings; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Barry, of Portland, and Mrs. William Gavitt (sic), of Lake Odessa; 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
