"Randall McDonald, the only son, served in the war prior to his marriage to Polly Hubbell which took place in 1815. They settled on the river Thames... Nine of their ten children grew to maturity, and
as noted Alexander was the eldest, the others being... Annie, born in 1825, married Henry Bowers, who settled in the state of Michigan, and she died there the mother of five children - Samuel, Israel (deceased) who was a soldier in the Civil War in the States, Polly, John and Mary...
