C. H. Daugherty Borne to Rest
Thamesville, Dec. 5 - Funeral services for Charles Henry Daugherty who passed away early in the week following a severe heart attack, were held on Thursday afternoon from the J. R. Smith Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. John Cristea of the Baptist Church.
Interment was made in Mayhew cemetery.
Acting as pall bearers were Messrs. Henry MacFarlane, William Bonney, William Merriem, John Anderson, Clare Skinner and Gordon Carther.
Mr. Daugherty was in his 67th year and was born in Thamesville a son of the late Amos Daugherty and Susan A. Tape. For many years he was employed by the Canadian National Railways on the section and later as a watchman at the crossing gates. For several years he served at Windsor in the latter capacity only returning to Thamesville during the past year.
Surviving are his widow and one son Urville of Thamesville, two sisters, Mrs. William Bowles, Thamesville and Mrs. F. Hanks, Florence, and three brothers John Daugherty of Thamesville, and Anson and Joseph of Lambton County.
