THAMESVILLE, April 7 - One of the most highly respected residents of the village, in the person of Amos Daugherty, passed away very suddenly Saturday morning at the home of his son Henry.
Mr. Dougherty was down town as usual on Friday morning but did not appear to be ill, but took a bad spell early Saturday morning, dying a few hours later. Mrs. Daugherty predeceased him last December. He leaves six children, two daughters and four sons. The funeral took place at two o'clock Monday afternoon, interment being made in Sherman's Cemetery. The late Mr. Daugherty was 77 years of age and had lived in this vicinity all his life.

THAMESVILLE, April 7 - The funeral of Charles Amos Daugherty who passed away quite suddenly on Saturday morning at the home of his son Henry Daugherty, took place this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the latter's residence. Rev. E. Stephens of the Baptist Church conducted the service. The late Mr. Daugherty was 77 years of age and has resided in Thamesville and vicinity for the past fifty six years. He is survived by two daughters and three sons. Mrs. Boles of Trinidad, Mrs. Cryderman, Grand Ledge, Mich., Anson of Camden and Henry and John of this place. His wife predeceased him a year ago. The following acted as pall bearers - Chris Gardner, John Vance, John Howat, Barney Featherstone, Charles Hubbell and John Hardy.
