Simington William, M, born 15 June 1874, s/o James Mills Simington, Farmer, lived Thamesville, and Isabella McDonald; Dr. Tye.; late registration information supplied by Alexander McDonald, Moose Jaw: I, Alexander McDonald of the City of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan declare 1) that I am the uncle of the aforesaid; 2) that I have personal knowledge of the matters herein set forth...3) that I am the Uncle of the said person and was on intimate terms with his family at the time of his birth; that although I was not present at his birth, I saw the child within three days thereafter and was informed at the time and fully believe he was born at the place and on the date mentioned; 4) that I am sixteen years his senior in age. Declared at the City of Moose Jaw in the Province of Saskatchewan, 30 April 1932.

parents' pioneer life in Howard Township... Here Mr. McDonald grew to sturdy manhood, and on March 18, 1841, he was married to Isabella Smith, who was born in Scotland, June 23, 1823, daughter of Robert and Isabel Smith, highly esteemed residents of the County of Kent...
Thirteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. McDonald, two dying in childhood. Of the others we have the following record--...Isabel, born in 1858, is a widow of James Simmington, who settled in the Northwest of Canada and left children - Walter, William, Edward, James, Percey, Mary and Edith.

Wm. Simington Retires on Pension From C.P. Service - William Simington, well-known Canadian Pacific Railway conductor, retired on pension as from June 30, after spending 40 years in the service of the company.
He entered the employ of the C.P.R. as a trainman on July 1, 1899, and was promoted to the position of conductor on February 20, 1903.
Mr. Simington, although a resident of Moose Jaw, ran out of Regina on the C.P.R.
