Mrs. James Scane
Ridgetown - Mrs. Harriet Scane, beloved wife of James Scane passed away at the family home, Jane Street, Ridgetown on Monday May 5, in her ??th year.
Born in Howard township, she was the daughter of the late William McDonald and Anna McQuarrie. In 1899 she married James Scane and they resided on the Ridge Road, moving to Ridgetown in 1952. She was a member of the Erie United Church, Ridgetown.
Surviving are two sons, William of Ridgetown and Joseph of Detroit; four daughters, Mrs. Archie Shawfler (Olive) of Windsor, Mrs. Gordon Geddis (Myria) of Ridgetown, Mrs. Forest Campbell (Harriet) of Valetta, Mrs. Archie Green (Anna) of Howard Township; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother Alex McDonald, Los Angeles, California; one sister Mrs. Mina Belanger, Tecumseh; one son John Scane, predeceased in 1953.
Funeral services will be conducted at the McKellar and McDonald funeral home in Ridgetown on Thursday, May 8, at 3:00 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. R. W. Young of Erie Street united Church.
Interment will be in Green.... (cut off)
