The Late Mrs. McDonald, Ridgetown, March 5 - The funeral took place Wednesday to Greenwood cemetery of Mrs. Anna Matilda McDonald, wife of William McDonald and an old and respected resident of Ridgetown. Service was conducted by Rev. George Weir, assisted by Rev. W. G. Charlton.
The late Mrs McDonald, who was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Davis McQuarnie, was born in Harwich township 71 years ago. Marrying Mr. McDonald 53 years ago last December, she settled in Thamesville, a few years later going to Morpeth and 35 years ago coming to Ridgetown, where she has since resided. She was a devote member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church lending herself to the various activities of that body.
Besides her husband she leaves a family of three sons and four daughters; Herbert McDonald of Ridgetown, R. E. McDonald of Nevada, Col.; D. A. McDonald of Los Angeles; Mrs. W. J. Patterson of Ridgetown, Mrs. R. E. Coates of Dutton, Mrs. A. Belanger of Windsor, and Mrs. James Scane of Howard.
