Morpeth Man Killed in West: Morpeth, Sept. 28 -- Morpeth people were shocked to hear that Arthur McDonald was shot to death in a bank hold-up at Pinole, Cal., on September 26.
Mr. McDonald was born, raised and went to school in Morpeth, being the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Miles McDonald and had a host of friends here.
He was a policeman in Pinole and was aged about 55 years. Besides his widow and three daughters he leaves two brothers, John of Morpeth and Fred of Pinole, also two sisters, Mrs. Kate Liebner of Morpeth and Miss Jean McDonald, nurse, of Detroit.
