Ridgetown Dominion, 30 October 1935:
Mrs. Katherine Liebner - The death in Harper Hospital, Detroit, on Tuesday morning, of Mrs. Katherine Liebner of Morpeth, came as a distinct shock to her many friends in this district. Although not being in the best of health for some time, Mrs. Liebner was able to be around and her friends did not consider her condition serious until an emergency operation became necessary Monday morning. The deceased, who was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Miles McDonald, was in her 64th year, and spent almost her entire life in Morpeth. She was active in the affairs of St. John's Anglican church, the Women's Institute, and other women's organizations, in which she will be much missed. Her husband, the late Augustus Liebner, died about nineteen years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lynn Phillips, of Detroit. She also leaves two brothers and one sister, Mr. John McDonald and Miss Jennie McDonald, R.N., both of Morpeth, and Mr. Fred McDonald, of Pinole, Cal.
The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with service at the Morpeth Anglican church followed by interment in Morpeth cemetery.
