Andrew Hubbell...was twice married, his first wife having been Sally Brown, who died, leaving two children, Ezra and Lyman...
Lyman Hubbell, the father of Ezra Sherman Hubbell, was born in Camden township, County of Kent, Aug. 3, 1827. In 1853 he married Miss Elizabeth Hutchinson, daughter of William Hutchinson. After marriage, Mr. Hubbell rented his father-in-law's farm for two years, and then moved to Thamesville where he lived for fourteen years. In 1872 he purchased his present farm, adjacent to Thamesvill, and still resides upon it, a most highly respected and esteemed citizen. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Hubbell became the parents of the following children: Ezra Sherman; Edward, of California; Andrew, of Kent Bridge; Eliza, wife of Alfred Meade; Lomilla, wife of Daniel Forsyth; Lucinda Ella, wife of Ralph Meade; Lydia, bookkeeper for her brother, Ezra; and Lyman, of Thamesville. The mother died in 1899, at the age of sixty-six years...

Obituary - Andrew Hubbell. Death came with startling suddenness to Andrew Hubbell of Kent Bridge, on Sunday morning past. Mr. Hubbell was in the act of putting on his shoes when he was stricken. Mr. Hubbell had ben ailing for some years, but the suddenness of his demise came as a great shock to his wife and family, who have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
The funeral took place on Tuesday, and was conducted by Rev. T. G. George. Interment in the Mayhew cemetery.

Obituary - Andrew Hubbell. On Sunday, Dec. 6th, there passed away at his home at Kent Bridge, Mr. Andrew Hubbell, one of the oldest business men of the village, who was well known and respected by all in this vicinity. He was born March 21st, 1860, in the village of Thamesville, and lived in the vicinity until coming to Kent Bridge. He was married to Christy Stonehouse, in the year 1892, at Thamesville, and leaves to mourn his loss, besides his wife, one daughter, by a former marriage (Olive Gertrude), and two sons, A. Floyd and E. Claire; also four sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Eliza Mead, of Ann Arbor; Mrs. Forsyth, Mrs. Mead, Mrs. Shaw, all of Portland, Oregon. The brothers are Edward of Portland, Ore., and Lemuel, on the homestead in Thamesville.
The late Mr. Hubbell had been a patient sufferer from heart disease and rheumatism for a number of years, but death came very suddenly at the last. The funeral was held in the Methodist church on Dec. 8th, and the large attendance testified to the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held in the community. The Rev. T. T. George conducted the service, and Mrs. A. Pickard sang very beautifully "Somewhere." The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful, among them being a harp from the family; spray from Mrs. E. S. Hubbell and sons; spray, Mrs. Read, Chatham; pillow, Independent Order of Foresters; anchor, Ladies' Aid of the Methodist church; wreath from the Sabbath school, and a spray from Rev. A. Thibodeau, pastor of the church. Deceased was buried in the Mayhew cemetery, Thamesville.
