Relatives and friends here of the Hubbell family were greatly shocked Wednesday when the news came that Harry S. Hubbell, a former resident of this township, had been killed that day in Detroit. He was employed as carpenter on some construction work at Gray & Robert's Brass plant. A swinging beam knocked him from a scaffold and he fell fourteen feet, landing on his head, breaking his neck and dying instantly. The funeral took place to Holy Cross Cemetery. Deceased was a son of the late Burton Hubbell and was born in Oxley. He moved to Detroit 13 years ago. Surviving him are his wife and four children, the eldest nine years, the youngest four months; brother Oliver, of Harrow; sister Jessie and brother George, of Detroit. He was in his 35th year.
