Name at birth was John Lewis Johnson Hanshaugen since his father was
John and he was born on the farm named Hanshaugen. He emigrated to U.S.A
in 1867 with his family and later moved to Gwynne, Alberta where he had
a farm. He ended his life in Vancouver, B.C. After arriving in North
America the family used the family name of Johnson.
