Stanley and Katherine married in Detroit MI.; She was from Grosse Isle, MI. In 1978 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in their home on Park St., Amherstburg.

Soon after their marriage, they settled in Harrow, Essex Co., Ont., and then in Amherstburg in 1931. For several years, Stanley operated a gasoline station in these towns. Later he went into the heating business, from which he retired in 1972. Stanley is a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.
