The Brush book (below) states that Rowland married Amelia Jane Fox and Augusta Moon, had two children (Maggie and Rowland) and died in Simcoe Co. in 1904. There was a Rowland Brush who was born about 1836, married Amelia Jane and Augusta in Simcoe Co., had four children (including Margaret and Rowland) and died in Bracebridge in 1904. But, this second Rowland Brush, according to a Simcoe Co. researcher (Patricia Sherman, The Heart of Simcoe County (Ontario), RootsWeb WorldConnect Project) was the son of Irish immigrant Augustus Brush and his wife Margaret Jane Philips, who settled in Medonte Twp, Simcoe County and raised a family there. It seems one of the early Brush researchers inadvertently melded these two Rowland Brushes into one. The Brush book also says that Rowland (son of Nathan) fought in the American Civil War. That may well be true, but we have no information on him after that.
