Obituary, from obits.mlive.com:
LEWIS, Henrietta Lois, Essexville, Michigan:
Henrietta Lois Lewis, 95, of Essexville, our beloved aunt and great-aunt was born into eternal life on the morning of Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Sterling House of Bay City. Henrietta was born in Essexville on November 16, 1919, the daughter of the late Henry and Eleanor (LaMere) Mayotte. She was united in marriage to Cyril Lewis, who preceded her in death in 2010 after sixty-one years of marriage. Henrietta was a gracious lady, who was always there for her family. She enjoyed china painting, cake decorating, traveling and will always be remembered for her love of reading and crossword puzzles. Her kind and considerate ways will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come. Left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Henrietta was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred (Eldon) Hahl, Margaret (Roland) Sauve, Betty (Mike) Walsh, Delma Mayotte, Lawrence (Pat) Mayotte and her nephew, Michael Hahl. Henrietta's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of her 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist), 614 Pine St., Essexville. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Sterling House for their compassionate care.
