Obituary, published in the Toronto Star on Dec. 5, 2009:
DEMEDASH, Walter 'Wally' - With profound sadness we announce the death of Walter 'Wally' Demedash on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Scarborough General Hospital. Wally is survived by his wife Dorothey (nee Cobley), his sister Adeline (Charles) Pawulski of Gimli, Manitoba and his brother Nick (Jennifer) of Cowichan, British Columbia. Predeceased by his parents Rose and Henry, brother Bill and step-father Mike Kozera. Wally was a longtime employee of IBM and member of the IBM Retiree's Group. Wally will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews and by his many friends, whom both Wally and Dorothey held close to their hearts. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 20 Old Kingston Road, Scarborough, Ontario. We wish to thank the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Scarborough General Hospital for their kindness and compassion during Wally's final days. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to a charity of your choice.
