George Arthur Simpson
Peacefully, with his family by his side, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Saturday, March 3, 2007 George Arthur Simpson of RR# 2 Lucan age 86 years. Born in Biddulph Township, George was the dear son of the late Arthur Neil Simpson and Laura Lee. Beloved husband of the late Olive Logan (2005). Dearly loved father of Hazel and Wayne MacLeod of London and Helen and Jim Hearn and Ken and Shirley Simpson all of RR #2 Lucan. Cherished grandfather of Samantha MacLeod of Florida and her fiancé Sal Rizza of Toronto. Dear friend of Darryl Lamie, Darla Voth and Brett Lamie. Loved brother of Alice and Kermit Thompson and Marion and the late Andy Thompson. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law William and Florence Simpson and Clifford and Margaret Simpson. George farmed his entire life in McGillivray and Biddulph Township under Merlee Farms. He was proud of his Holstein cows that were shipped worldwide, and Ken’s black angus cattle. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 5th at 11 AM with Rev. Kathy Wreford officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Donations to South Huron Hospital, Exeter would be appreciated by the family.
