Obituary for Gordon Norman Hodgins, from Munro and Morris Funeral Homes Ltd:
At the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, October 13, 2004. Gordon Norman Hodgins of R.R. #1 Bainsville; age 65 years. Beloved husband of Claudette Hodgins (nee Arsenault) and by a previous marriage the late Nancy Anne Fraser. Loving father of Laurie Anne Ross (Tommy) and Heather Petrie (Alan) both of Bainsville, Catherine McDonell (Craig) of Williamstown and Kelly Suddard (John) of Petawawa. Cherished grandfather of John, Campbell and Finlay Ross, MacKenzie and MacKayla Petrie, Frances McDonell and Hannah Suddard. Gordon will be fondly remembered by Claudette's three children, Carole Moody (Maurice) of St. John's, Newfoundland, Michel Therrien of Montreal and Josee Careen (Nick) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and their children, Adam, Andrea, Michelle and Monica Moody, Liam, Conor and Keegan Careen. Dear son of the late Norman Hodgins and the late Velma Squire. Dear brother of Grant Hodgins (Margaret) of Granton, ON., Allan Hodgins (Maxine) and Avis Kilpatrick (Larry) both of London, ON. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster, (347-3629) on Friday, October 15, 2004 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, South Lancaster, on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation. A committal will follow at a later date in Lucan, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit, Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site would be appreciated by the family.
As a Memorial to Gordon, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
