Hodgins, Floria E. - age 106, died Saturday, March 15, 1986 at the Chelsea United Methodist Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, March 17, 1986 at the Benjamin & Whipple Funeral Home, Clio, Rev. Herman Whiting officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 12 noon to 9 pm. Memorials may be made to the Chelsea United Methodist Home. Floria was born in Thetford Township, Michigan, April 29, 1879, daughter of Ahira and Rosanna Haven. She resided in Clio her entire life. She married L.W. Hodgins in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1941. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, the Deborah Circle, Vienna Chapter #283 OES. She was a school teacher in Genesee County for 28 years and a member of the MEA. Surviving are: 5 nephews, Frank Haven, William K. Haven, Harold Haven, Dexter Haven, and Richard Lucas; 7 nieces, Alice Whitman, Ruth Stevens, Edna Dorn, Mary Rose Hopkins, Dorothy Gazzolo, Suzanne Hufford and Maria Bellairs; cousin, Fern Knickerbocker; several loyal friends.
