SMITH - At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Saturday, July 14, 1999, Ralph S. Smith of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend and formerly of London, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Veda (Hodgins) Smith. Dear father of Bette and Brad Sterling of Surrey, B.C., Sharon and Bod Barnett of Fort Francis, Fred and Brenda Smith of Lucan, Carol and Scott Furtan of Wallaceburg, and Cathy and Kevin Carter of Lucan. Dear son-in-law of Florence Hodgins of Lucan. Dear grandfather of Tracy and her husband Larry, and Chris, Correy, Shawn, Trevor and Kyle; Courtney; and Matthew. Also survived by two great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Don and Donna Smith of Lucan and Harvey and Donna Smith of Crediton. Predeceased by a grandson, Jeff, and brothers Edward and Leonard. Friends may call at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 17th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Allan Carson officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Monday evening at 6:45 PM under the auspices of Irving Lodge #754 A.F. & A.M. Lucan.
