A farmer, one of the first three cattle farmers to introduce the Holstein-Friesian breed of cattle into Middlesex County. In 1933 bought Lot 35, Con. 1 of Biddulph Twp, Middlesex Co., which had been his in-laws' farm until 1920. Farmed this property until the late '60s.

AINSLIE - At Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, on Wednesday, March 27, 1991, M. Jean (Hodgins) Ainslie of Widder Street East, St. Marys; in her 82st year. Beloved wife of Ralph Ainslie. Loving mother of Mary and her husband Michael Smith, David and his wife Laurie Ainslie, all of St. Marys. Loving grandmother of Meg, Becky and Kristen. Sister of Mrs. Murray (Alice) Hodgson and Victor E. Hodgins, all of Lucan, and sister-in-law of Mary E. Ainslie of St. Marys. Predeceased by her parents Ward and Laura (Haskett) Hodgins and brothers Murray H., Emerson, Bruce and Arthur Hodgins. Resting at L. A. Ball Funeral Chapel, St. Marys (Ball and Sass, Ltd.) on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM; where the funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, at 1:30 PM with Rev. Rick Horst officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery. Donations to the Arthritic Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
