The McColl Brothers ...
Their family came from Scotland in 1842...
Their father John McColl nat 1796 obt 1872 being the youngest member of four brothers and five sisters nearly all of whom lived to be over or near four score years. Their father died in 1829. And their mother Catherine Paterson in 1839 at an advanced age.
Their sister Catherine Ruthven and family came to Aldborough in 1829. She died in 1868 - Twp. Bros. James and Neil came later on. James died in 1868. Neil died at Guelph in 1886 ae 92 yrs...
