Obituary, Leamington Post, 01 May 1919:
Mr. Philemon T. Wilkinson, one of Mersea Township's most respected residents, passed away at his home on the 8th concession on Friday night last, after an illness of only about a week, first with the "flu" and then pneumonia. He was in his 54th year and the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wilkinson of the 5th concession of Mersea. Besides his widow three sons, Glenburn, Leonard and Hugh, and one daughter Maria, survive, and all are at the parental home. His father and mother are also survivors. The funeral service was held at the house Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, interment following in the Albuna cemetery.
