Wright, Gerald Angus, 84 years. March 26, 2000. Peacefully at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle. Late of Harrow. Beloved husband of Elsie Marion (Bondy). Dear father of Brenda and Michael Smykaluk, Mt. Hope; Janet and John Saunders, Chatham; Evan and Susan Wright, Windsor; Muriel and Philip Carter, Oakville. Dear grandpa of Trevor, Kezia, Sara, Jeffrey, Jinni, Aaron, Emma, Garrin and the late Jaret. Dear great-grandpa of seven great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Beth, Mrs. George Sweet, Grand Bend. Predeceased by his sisters Ena, Olive and brother Wilfred. Gerald coached Minor Baseball in Kingsville for 8 years including 2 O.B.A. Championships, worked 22 years as a Hay and Straw Dealer in Essex County, 19 years as Sales Rep. in Southwestern Ontario for Eli Lily and Shamrock Chemicals. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends in this area as well as Mesa, Arizonia, where he and his wife Elsie vacationed over the past 15 years. Resting Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home, 197 King St. W., Harrow. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, March 30, 2000, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bob McMullen officiating. Interment at Erie Cemetery, Colchester. Memorials may be made to the Essex County Lung Association or the charity of your choice.
