Obituary, Leamington Post, 14 May 1908:
Died in Leamington - A Son of Daniel Wilkinson Lately Returned from California Passed Away - On Sunday, May 20th, Walter Wilkinson, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wilkinson, died at the home of his parents and was buried on Tuesday, May 12th, at Lakeview. He was in his twenty-sixth year, and left home at the early age of seventeen to seek his fortune in California. He had good health up to about a year ago, and a few days ago, he was brought home by his brother, Russell. When death began to assume a threatening form, the love of home and parents became more and more pressing, and although he was married, and his wife was about to become a mother, and therefore unable to accompany him, he came home, only to die. His wife and little daughter are with her people in Pomona, California, where they will be tenderly cared for. The hearts of the people go out in sympathy to the bereft wife and child. The neighbours and friends of the parents will deeply sympathize with the parents in their sore affliction. They remember Walter as a strong, sturdy lad of seventeen...
     Besides a wife and daughter he is survived by five sisters and three brothers, Forest and Archie, of Los Angeles; Russell, of Tilbury; Mrs. H. A. Bell and Mrs. Nelson Evans, of town; Mrs. Lula Coutts, of Detroit, and Irene and Hazel at home.

Obituary, Leamington Post, 8 January 1914:
Wilkinson - With the beginning of the new year, Elizabeth Louise Warner, beloved wife of Daniel Wilkinson, passed quietly away. She was born in Middlesex Co., in 18??, and removed early in life to Essex Co. On Nov. 3rd, 1869, she was married to Daniel Wilkinson, and lived a happy married life with her husband and children until a few months ago when her health began to fail, but her sudden death was not anticipated. About six o'clock on the morning of the new year, her husband spoke to her and received a reply, but an hour later when he again called he found she had entered upon the last long sleep. Her eyes closed to earth, but, no doubt, opened in the bright new year on the other shore. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church, and a devoted christian. She leaves to sorrow over the loss of a mother's love, her husband and eight children: Eva Bell, Forest of Los Angeles, Lulu Coutts of Detroit, Russell of Detroit, Archie of Los Angeles, Myrtle Evans, Irene Foster of Calgary, and Hazel of New York. All the children were at the funeral which occurred on Saturday, the 3rd inst., except Archie, Forest and Irene. To the bereaved husband and children will be given much sympathy.
